Missing Feature 2d review
Finished playing missing feature 2d. Kind of nische game. The main thing about the game is that the game is set up as a game but with some of the features not working or missing, like jump not working, missing sprites etc. And you're supposed to unlock them during playing the game. But when you start playing the game a bit you do notice that mechanic, which is kind of cool but also some more things...
Although the game seems a bit unique in the sense that you have to unlock the mechanics of the game when progressing. It does become a bit repetitive and feels more like just a regular 2d platform game and just advancing level after level. Also feels a bit metroid-y with the unlock feature thing. But the biggest problem, or maybe the one big problem is the difficulty. Most levels are kind of hard. And the game doesn't "market" itself as challenging or hard. Which is kind of annoying. And I find myself repeating the same levels over and over again, trying - dying - respawning and trying again - dying agian over and over until I finally beat the level. The combination of tough levels only 1 life (sometimes you get an extra life as a power-up) and long distances from checkpoints makes the game hard. The thing that you only have 1 life makes it very easy dying and having to restart from last checkpoint, and then combine that with long distance to next checkpoint and you get a kind of hard and tedious game.
Othervise the features unlock is kind of cool, but isn't used in a very clever way although it's kind of nice. For the music and the grafics, the music varying, some tunes are very mundane, but others are kind of cool and good. And the backgrounds and grafix are meh/ok.
Overall it looks like kind of a cool game but when you start playing it, isn't that good of an experience, sadly. Beware of the challening levels if you're going to buy it!
Overall score 2/5
Lyssnade till Mes Aïeux - Dégénérations / Le reel du fossé. Riktigt bra låt! Jag gillade folk-liknande stilen och att det var bra driv i instrumenten . :)
Icons Legacy and Rushdown Revolt
Played some Icons legacy and rushdown revolt. From what I know, I think it was made by ex Project M developers, but not 100% sure. I tested Icons legacy and it was pretty good. Didn't expect it to be this good and smooth and also didnt expect a smash game to be played well on PC. But it was pretty good. Wavedashing was hard though but doable. Although I did get some weird bug? or something that I midgame triggered some debug mode. Wierd, otherwise pretty good.
However I then got to notice that that was an old game. And then tried rushdown revolt. It was even better. Easier to do wavedash among other things. I also think they made more unique things, as the previous feel a bit to smashy, no new mechanics and such. But not 100% sure of this.
It does feel a lot like smash (melee, pm) but although a lot easier. So it might be good for people who think the tech skills are to hard in smash. It would be intressting to see how the online is, which I couldn't test. Since no smash game pretty much have had a good online. So I'll see about that.
But overall, great game. A new Melee/Pm game.
Rise of Nations - simple song was probably one of my most messiest sheets. I fixed it a bit. Made some chords easier. It's still a bit complicated as the melody and the harmony kind of collides. But still easier AND more accurate now. :)
